Research

Research undertaken in the Chair Programme is focused on the Kuiseb Basin, Cuvelai Etosha Basin, Okavango-Omatako and Omaruru-Swakop Basin for achievement of two main objectives indicated below. Both the completed and ongoing projects are listed under each of the two objectives.

OBJECTIVE 1: Undertake jointly with partners research on water and climate in arid environments, including analyses of water quality and meteorological parameters in different basins, and disseminate results widely, including on- line

OBJECTIVE 2: Develop water- air-climate models for the arid environment, and build capacities of students, faculty, professionals, civil society and gov- ernment stakeholders to support their implementation
